I want to know if this “return pump” alternative will work on an AIO tank. Instead of using a traditional return pump, can I use a wave maker in this way ? (Yes I have to drill a hole in the filter to accommodate the wave maker opening). Please let me know if you had try this ... and how did it go? Good or bad. Thanks.

I'm liking the thought process!!! Of course I have no idea if it would work. The one thing I'd be concerned about is detritus collecting in the bottom of that back chamber. Maybe putting the powerhead down low would take care of this.

Trying to tidy up the tank by not having an extra return pump and not having a wave maker “inside” the tank... no more cord. Down side??? Big old hole or holes in the background.
