I currently have an IM 40. I have the space to stretch the length of a new tank to 36" which lands me on an IM SR 60 or JBJ 65. A few questions. Is adding 20 gallons, which I know is not actually 20 gallons worth the transition? It's not a money thing either...it's the POA factor. Anyone have either tank? The nice thing about this upgrade is I wouldn't have to purchase anything new other than the tank. ie lights, skimmer etc. Just wanting a lil more room. Thoughts?

It might not just be the 20 gallon difference. Other than length, both those tanks offer different heights and widths as well, so there could be a lot more "space" than just the gallon rating suggests. I guess it would boil down to the look you like (short "lagoon" style or taller tank) and how you want to aquascape it.

I will say this... I have 2x IM AiO tanks, and I just picked up a used JBJ 45g flat panel AiO for a killer deal. The JBJ is nice, but I'd still go IM. It's a subjective thing, but I just feel like the IM tanks are nicer and a bit better laid out.

Exactly! My desire for the upgrade definitely isn't for just the gallons cuz I'm not even gonna add any more fish. I went a tad nuts with corals so my tank is too full and I just wanna spread them out. I'm glad u said that about the JBJ, I've actually liked my IM. I do wish the SR 60 was taller but then it wouldn't be an SR lol. My wife basically said, "If u want a bigger tank just make sure it fits on the custom stand 'u just HAD to HAVE' and u don't have to buy all new equipment that u just bought last year". She gets it. Ain't her first rodeo. I guess in the end it just gives me another project without going over the top. Thanks again for ur input!
