Ok so I have a IM nuvo20 i built a bracket for my prime hd to hold 2 24" sunblaster t5 lamps and I have an ati blue+ and a coral+. I'm not having much luck with growth on my corals. The prime settings are 1.5 ramp up to UV35
V40
RB45
B35
CW5
The t5s are on at the time of the peak led for 4 hours then the t5s go off then it ramps down for 1.5 hours. Does anyone think this is not enough light or to much. I currently have lps and one sps green slimer which is green o the polyps but the skeleton is brown.

My tank parameters are:
SG 102.6
ALK 9.5-10 red sea
CALCIUM 450 red sea
MAG 1400 red sea
PO4 .06 Hannah ULR
NO3 5ish red sea
PH 8.00-8.25

I am running rowaphos and do 4 gallon water changes weekly red sea blue bucket. Also have a aquamaxx1.5 skimmer. This is my first post so if I did this in the wrong section my bad. And thanks on advance for any info

You did it right and welcome to R2R!

Can you take a pic of your set up? That would help.

Also, how far are the lights from the surface of the water?
How long have these lights been over the corals?

The lights are about 9 to 10 inches off the water. I had this since I think January. That hammer on the left recently lost two heads and has been looking pale. I also have been battling GHA and had a problem with bryopsis about 3 months ago. I was trying to chase perfect numbers with carbon dosing then everything went on the fritz. Got rid of bryopsis now but the gha is still here. It's just that the corals aren't really getting any bigger or growing more heads. Being as my water parameters are within a decent range I'm just wondering if it's the lights or maybe the tank is recovering after that bryopsis battle

This was before the bryopsis and gha battle and carbon dosing

I think the tank is just trying to recover.

Give it time and good water parameters and you should be fine.

You had growth before your briopsis?

I gotta tell you that if it were me, I would get another prime hd and lower the lights to between 5 and 7 inches from the surface.
I would not exceed 8 inches no matter what.

Even with the two t5 bulbs? Maybe I'll lower it slowly and also turn the prime up and do an acclimation mode for a month or so

That's the bracket it's two pieces of aluminum from home depot and I just had to make a few holes to fit flush on the existing ai prime bracket. The lights came with the clips to attach the fixture to.

With the T5 additions, that sounds like sufficient light for the types of corals you have. If you were keeping more acros and were able to zone out your tank, I'd suggest bumping it up a bit (with an acclimation period). For what you have right now and taking the T5 addition into consideration, I think you're fine.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'll try slowly acclimating to slightly higher settings. And keep up with maintenance and see what happens from there. Wish par meters werent so dang expensive lol
