so I got a new piece of LR and it seems to have maybe 15 Aiptasia on along with the RBTA I got the rock for... what’s the best option... try and kill the Aiptasia or try and remove the RBTA from the rock then remove the Aiptasia covered rock entirely

For the Aiptasia, a peppermint shrimp will take care of all the pest anemones. It will leave the bubble alone. Make sure you the peppermint ones not the camelback ones.

So I managed to get him off the rock I’m one piece :) took a while but seemed to be ok... just a little stressed when first went in but he crawled into a rock crevice to sulk :) Any advice. I assume just leave him alone and see how he does

Can you get a pic with less blue and more white. Also a good pic of the mouth will help a ton.

But with BTAs, they are tough. I have had them go through power heads and recover just fine. With proper water and light they can make it through most things.

I wish. So hard to get a photo without the blue. No I can’t see his mouth. Keep looking to check but he crawled into the crevice and can’t see his mouth the way he is. Doesn’t shrink enough either to see it (which I accepted as a good thing?) I have a photo from before he moved

I would just watch it and make sure there is no gaping of the mouth, you will see that even when hidden some, and that it does not deflate and stay that way. Bubbles will deflate a little at night, but not all the way. Also, if you have powerheads, I would suggest getting covers for them or making some out of some cross stitch mesh. It will move around at some point to find a spot it likes. I prefer to not turn power heads off with bubbles, as they find spots based on light and flow. If you turn off the powerheads and let it find a spot, it will move once you turn them back on.

Would he eat if his mouth was gaping?? Grabs anything given straight away... although I do need to keep the larger snails away as one managed to crawl nearly inside and stole his food

OK, it looks a little bleached, so keep your water params stable. Do not make any changes or move the nem. Watch it for a few days and DO NOT FEED IT for those few days. Just let it settle in. After 3-4 days, you can try to feed it some mysis, but only 1-2 small little ones. If it eats it, watch for it to expel the waste in a few days and you can feed again a few days afterwards. Nems do not have to be fed, but if they will eat little bits, it does help them recover after they are settled in.

They can grab things and look like they are eating just as a defense, but it is best to let it settle in and then go from there. Color in these guys can come back in a week if they are left alone and in good water/light. Best to just take it slow and let it do its thing.

Thank you. I will do that. Hopefully when he is more settled he will come out of the crevice. On a side note can Aiptasia hurt bubble tips? When I moved hi. From the rock that was covered in Aiptasia I found there was a large one in the crevice he was in...

I am not sure on who's sting is stronger on that. Never had an rbta next to one. Although I do have an Aiptasia dedicated mason jar pico tank lol.

Can you get a no blue pic?
Turn off the blue lights.
