Aiptasia Eating Filefish and Torches

My file fish picks at corals in addition to eating aiptasia. He also killed a small crab anemone that was in the tank. I moved him to a FOWLR tank, and can put him back on aiptasia duty in the reef if it pops back up in the future. I will say that he does PREFER aiptasia, and really only went for the corals after he couldn’t find any more aiptasia.
I consider him a mobile clean up crew that bounces from tank to tank depending on needs. The few corals he irritates as he eliminates aiptasia are a small price to pay for his effectiveness. He is a beast at taking out aiptasia. So glad we have him. [emoji4]

I bought an aptasia eating file fish and he will not nip at corals or aptasia. It’s hit or miss with these guys
