Pretty sure this is aiptasia?
Just making sure before I remove frag and remove aiptasia with cutters.

Really can't confirm from the photos, can't see any tentacles on it

Look like Vermatid snails You can snap them off and remove or super glue the ends to be honest I have some they are not annoying anything so I leave them but others will get them straight out

But you say it's on a coral or on the LR under the coral (and what coral is there actually) ?

Im seeing a tubeworm or even a vermetid tube. I suggest to remove from the base with a needlenose or similar pliers and discard

I just looked up vermatid snail it does look similar to this.
It is on my pink octospawn.

That picture is not current it was when I purchased it 2 months ago.
I only noticed the hitchhiker/pest yesterday.

I found aiptasia on one of my frags earlier in the year and was luckily able to remove it before it spread so I was hoping to catch whatever this is in time too.

Definately seeing the benefits to a quarantine tank. If this pandemic ends that's first on my list.

So this is them out of the water...
They are no longer with us... R.i.p. whatever you were....

I removed these and will monitor it.

with the red/brownish base is vermetid, the second 2 not sure what they are, look like spiroid (reef safe)
