Aiptasia??? Never seen this type before ( HELP with ID)

Amazing little swimmers!!!

Keeping them in an extra 5 gal i had laying around (was my old tank) do they need food you think or will they photosynthesise

If there aren't any other animals, they'll need food. In order for them to photosynthesize, they need free floating nutrients in the water too.

Guess what! Apparently pom pom crabs will grab these, got a photo but is a bit hard to see, circled both the normal nem and the swimmer!

The little swimming nem is not happy at all but atleast the crab is lol
