I have a very small aiptasia on a zoa frag plug. Today I tried to manually remove it with tweezers. Problem is that it is so small and clear so when I take the frag out of water it closes up and is virtually impossible to see. I tweezed the area it was in a million times but when I put the frag back in the tank it opened up again right away and I could see it was still there. Any suggestions for removal?

I've seen a stainless steel drinking straw hooked up to a hose recommend for this before, and for removing zoa overgrowth as well.

I haven't had to do it myself yet, but it's something I'd try if the need arose.

I would take out and use a razor blade to scrap the area. If you leave any on the plug its going to come back.

Break out the big guns! Napalm, C4 or 50cal if you got em. Otherwise we can make something out of 30% hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, food coloring, dried yeast, water, a funnel, or if you have any ammonium dichromate laying around, we can craft a smal thermite like explosive.

Or you know you could just suck them off/up using a syringe but where’s the fun in that!?
