Aiptasia on my SNAIL???

So I saw this thing on my snails shell this morning and watched it for a second and saw it retracts and extends. What is this?

Not unusual to have this occur. You can remove snail and either scrub it completely with a toothbrush or smother aptasia itself with Kalkwasser powder mixed into a paste and aptasia is history

Looks like a small tube worm and nothing to worry about. Aiptasia have pointy round tentacles. I dont see those in your pic.

I just scrubbed it with a toothbrush

Looks like a small tube worm and nothing to worry about. Aiptasia have pointy round tentacles. I dont see those in your pic.

Even if it was a tube worm, I still don’t want to risk it. Better safe than sorry for sure

If in future if find any questionable things on shells.to see if tube worm/ duster you can poke a stick just above it and see if it retracts

Yeah that’s exactly what that one did and looks like.

Well if it retracted then it a harmless filter feeding tube worm,i could see the tubes on shells of my hermits.got 3 hermits and they got 5 tube worms between them that i can notice
