I recently noticed these polyps in my DT. At first I thought they were the from the Golden Space Monster zoa that had spontaneously developed very long tenticles. Then the ugly thought occurred to me that they're aiptasia. They're actually touching one polyp of a Purple Space Monster zoa (such silly names) which doesn't seem bothered at all. Do I prepare for war or welcome a normal variant?

Looks like majano anemone. While not welcomed in my tanks, many reefers like them and keep them especially the more colorful versions.
If you desire to rid of them , you can apply a dab of gel superglue from dollar store on the head of each one or Using syringe, inject either lemon juice or better yet. . kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a paste the consistency of toothpaste and inject into the very center core and it will melt away

Here's another reefer that has a majano infestation. Definitely prepare for ware.

I blew water vigorously around the polyps which showed the bases are connected. Should I assume these are zoa variants then?
