Looks like bryopsis which is like a hair algae but will have roots and thicker blade strands.I'm still seeing this, and it's weird if you bother it, it seems like it pulls back into the little nodules attached to the coral. I'm not sure what it is.
I thought same but as OP mentioned, two after 8 weeks- aptasia would have spread like wildfirePretty sure I see GHA and aiptasia
The second pick in the bottom left had me second guessing. Thought it was the tentacles and just no shot of the head.I thought same but as OP mentioned, two after 8 weeks- aptasia would have spread like wildfire
If it's on coral it's not a aiptasia most likely some sort or algea turf, hair algea etcJust the two areas. And both on Coral that has been established for over 2 months. I don't see it anywhere else. Tank is 8 months old.
Dont worry- I too saw it as aptasia but also could be GSP. The love of this hobby !!!The second pick in the bottom left had me second guessing. Thought it was the tentacles and just no shot of the head.
I would say bryopsis since nothing is touching it but imo it doesn't looks like bryopsis. I just dealt with it in my tank, had to use reef fluxLol. I got some peppermint shrimp, had aiptasia and it seems to have cleared up, not seeing what I was seeing anywhere now as far as aiptasia goes. Just these two and another in between some zoa's. My hermits and turbos stear clear of it and the peppermint won't touch it either.
Yeah, got rid of the aiptasia with the shrimp. It's gone.Yes the 2nd pic you have it’s aptaisa. (Middle left) You can see the individual tentacles. You also have GHA but aptaisa for sure.
