Aiptasia or something else??

Noticed this the other day, thought it was aiptasia but in the year or so I've been in this hobby the aiptasia I've seen always looked different.

Yes, aiptasia. Best course would be manual removal, scrape off as much as you can and epoxy or superglue gel over where it was to prevent it from coming back, even the tiniest fragment can grow back.

If you do decide to manually remove these pests make sure to do it in a separate bowl of water. Like mentioned above the tiniest little piece of tissue can grow back. If you start picking at that thing in the DT you could make this problem much worse. GL.
