I just noticed this on the side of a piece of rock on my new zoas. It almost looks like a baby star polyp or something but it retracts inside the rock very quickly if i approach it with tweezers/hand so it doesn't have the type of reaction i'd expect of a coral.

Looks like lg hydroid
Keep it simple- take a dab of gel superglue from the dollar store and place over its core and it’ll starve

Looks like aiptasia to me but kinda hard to tell. Get a peppermint shrimp they’ll eat it. I had some in my tank and I got 2 peppermints and overnight that thing was gone!

Thanks - sounds like no need to worry but i guess i'll keep an eye on it for a bit.
Yea just keep an eye on it for now. If it turns out to be aiptasia just get a peppermint shrimp but they say it’s something else so I’d take their advice because I can’t see it well enough lol
