Just recently spotted these tiny things in my tank. At first glance they were very green so I didn't think too much but on closer inspection and under different light looked suspiciously like aiptasia. Or maybe some harmless type of paly. They are very small so I am definitely not sure, any ideas?

I've got the same and have been spot killing them with aptasia X.

Better to be safe then sorry you reckon?

depends, are they bothering corals? Aptasia x usually takes em out, but then u might end up with a bunch of tiny aptasia.
Not bothering anything at this stage

Do they retract into hard tubes? If so, they might be colonial hydroids.

They are very small and hard to see but looks like they do retract into tubes, I just can't tell if they are are hard. Are these pests to be concerned with?

I have a few in my macroalgae setup, where they have not spread much and do not bother their tankmates, though they seem to be more troublesome in reef aquaria.
From another thread:
Yea. Those aren’t good. I’ve had them. I’ve had pretty good sucess just putting putty on them though.
They are filter feeders , and I feed NPS and bivalves. But still managed to contain them.

Seems the general consensus is they aren't great but also not horrible, I'll keep an eye on them and maybe glue up for now. Thanks
