My tank is a red sea 350. 24 months old. A few months ago Aiptasia showed up. Been using red sea Aiptasia x to kill some but not keeping up.

The tank has the following animals.
Khole tang
3 firefish
4 clown fish (2 pairs)
Dotty back
Diamond goby
2 pajama cardinals

Clam
Hammer
Frogspawn
Lots if zoas
And 4 other lps.
Blood schrimp
Cleaner schrimp
2 rock annetami.

I would like to add a natural Aiptasia predictor to help reduce the population.

Any options? With my set up.

Peppermint shrimp. I had one on an old tank that had some aiptasia and it did great. You may never see it out during the day but it will be out at night. I saw mine so rarely I thought it was dead when I moved house and out it came running when I started to move the rocks.

I am going to add one. Algea barn may have tank raised. Would one be enough? The tank is established and 93 gallons. The blood shrimp and cleaner schrimp has been with me for over 6 months.

So, how many would u recommend?

Did you have any acans, im afraid they might take some of them out, id be getting maybe less than 1in shrimp

It depends on how much you have really. They eat

It depends on how much aiptasia you have. They do eat food as well so you wouldn't starve them if they managed to eat it all. Id say 2, I had a small tank and 1 was fine.

Just posted this in another thread so forgive the copypaste but my experience is below:

I'd strongly recommend Aptasia eating nudibranch. I had an outbreak in my 3.3 gallon pico tank and I purchased 3 nudibranchs and they took it all out in about a week. Unfortunate that the little buggers die off cause all they eat is Aptasia, but their life cycle is rather short so if you end up buying larger ones like I did, they're most likely close to the end of their cycle.

They ate the Aptasia I had growing inside of my Zoa gardens without upsetting my Zoas - would 100% spend the $100 again to solve any future outbreaks in other tanks. I got mine from reeftown and they arrived healthy and hungry :)

I had other lps but not acans with the peppermint. I'm not sure if they would bother the acan, or just try to steal food from it if you fed them and they were hungry.

Will look into this option also. Ya, have those Aiptasia in my zoas. Hard to kill there.
