I've looked all over google image and I'm 95% sure but I'm here to ask the experts. This is Aiptasia, isn't it? Ugh..just found it sprung up and super active with its tentacles behind my new toadstool leather..it's buffed up into a big one too! (The aiptasia that is.)

I have a large peppermint shrimp in the tank now though and two on the way in two days, so will that be ok as a counter-measure?

Well it's tiny now that I turned off the lights and i've noticed my peppermint shrimps more active around this time, think they'll take advantage of it now? I guess we'll find out.. :\ Any home remedy that I could do without making a 30 min run to a petco or LFS?

I would cut down on your feeding. I have always noticed that peppermints don't do a very good job on aptasia when the tank is well fed. It is just one so far and you already have peppermints so i wouldn't worry too much.

I feed every two to three days, would it hurt to hold off for a week maybe week and a half to see how that works? I have a maroon clown fish though. :\

I had one once and I went to walgreens got a syringe and injected it with some lemon juice. Never saw it again! Just make sure you inject it directly into the body of the aiptasia.

It looks like its on a rock that can be removed. Pull it out hit it with kalk paste. Let it sit for a couple mins. Splash off the paste as best as possible then place back in tank.
