Aiptasia - Success!

180 gallon DT that is 30 inches high (so can't easily get down to the last half foot of the tank by hand). Aiptasia were all over, particular at the bottom where I could not hit them with Aiptasia X.

Tried Aiptasia-X, peppermint shrimp, kalk paste. Nothing worked.

Solution: Filefish! I am shocked. He's been in for 2 months, and the aiptasia are gone, and I mean g-o-n-e. I don't have palys or other corals that look or act like aiptasia, so he's not nipped at anything else that I can tell.

I know they don't always work, but this is a data point for those who have not yet tried it.

Keep a close eye on him. Maybe the aiptasia sated his appetite. But now they are gone he may move on to the second course-your corals.
