The other day, more than a week after my toadstool had arrived, I saw two very small aiptasia peeking out from under it. I am pretty confident this was their first appearance. This has been a happy healthy toadstool but it closes for a bit every day between "night" and when the main lights come on.
I didn't have anything on hand to immediately deal with them so I entombed in cyanoacrylate gel. This seems like a short term solution.
Can I cut away the bottom of the shroom or will that kill the coral? Will CA be enough? Other ideas?
And for the record, yes I should be QT my corals but I don't have the ability to do that yet. This totally makes the case for getting that happening sooner than later.
