We were replenishing our ATO container today and saw this in our chaeto (in the fuge) which I need help to ID. Is this the dreaded Aiptasia? If so, is there a reccomended course of action given this is in the fuge? 'Aybe just chuck the chaeto all together?

To me it looks great. Densely packed and dark green. What looked off to you, maybe I'm missing something.

Real skinny. Mine looks different. Plumper "vines" w/ little balls like blooms all over. I had some in a container once that dried up and got crunchy bc it wasn't getting any light. Maybe it's Jst the pic. [emoji4]. Thnx

You correct in that it looks different depending on light, but it doesn't have to be dying. That's what mine looks like in my low light tanks, like my amphipod culture. It doesn't grow much, but is a great place for amphipod to hang. I've also had it grow like that in my tanks that were tightly packed with it. I'm sure again it was a light issue, as some parts were in the shade due to density.

Ah! Thank u!! I've been following u for awhile. Love what u share abt sh
