I have recently moved back home to the other side of Australia and have began to cycle my tank again. The first time I used all dry rock, this time I added a couple pieces of live rock I purchased from my LFS. I have noticed some hitch hikers appear on the rock, are they both species of Aiptasia? Should I ditch the rock?

Neither of those are aptasia. Aptasia is like little clear brown anemones.

I've used kalk paste to kill stuff I didn't want before put it in a syringe.

Your first circle looks like a fan worm. I have those, annoying but not bad.
But hard to tell if it's fan shaped or if it's circular.

Its got probably 8 "feather" looking arms that come out in a circular shape, sorry I am new to having hitch hikers so I have no idea.

Ok, if they look feather like (not tenticle like) then Im betting its a fan worm.
Does it look like this:

If, when you move close to it, the fan like things shrivel into the tube structure, its nothing to worry about. Its only annoying if theyre in the middle of frags >.<
You can always glue over the end of the tube when the feathers shrivel and it will die. Theyre good filter feeders though.

It doesn't look like it has that many fans and I have not yet seen a tube. However I would say that's what it is, it looks a lot like that and your description of the fans retracting back is spot on. Thanks for your help.
