I have had setup for nearly 2 years with no problem and in the past month after buying some coral these guys have taken over tank. Im a noob to most corals and hithhikers, never delt with them so never researched so I originally saw a couple and just thought i had feather dusters or something lol. Then boom everywhere. Can anyone confirm ID? They stretch out their tube 6+ inches sometimes.

Yikes. That's enough aiptasia that you might want to go the Berghia nudibranch route. It's going to take some time to get through all of those...
That was my thought. He has enough to support the nudis to breed and wipe them all out over time.

Yep, afraid its aips mate. You could try a couple of peppermint shrimps.
Thanks Saun, i was trying to order some just in case i was right, but i have to wait until they get some in stock. I hope when i do get some they're hungry lol. There are alot of them

You have an aiptasia farm! I would recommend berhgias. How big is your tank?
It is 100 gal tank. I would say in the hundreds probably. I will research berhgias. Thought of a file fish, i only have a a devil hand and one small colony of zoanthids right now so not alot to destroy coral wise

Berghias should do the trick also to be fair. The thing is with Peppermints is it can be a bit of a lottery as with adding any livestock to help with a problem. I've heard of people buying peps and them not touching aips but from my own personal experience when I had them I added a pep and they were gone in a week. Granted I had nothing like that many though! Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi Shaun. We have the same name which is freeky! And if you middle name is Philip !

I had aiptasia so got some peppermint Shrimps. Initially nothing seemed to happen but then over a period of months I noticed I had no aiptasia in the display tank.

I then took off the cover from the rear overflow and found aiptasia all along the overflow were the Shrimps couldn't get them. Now that I thought is evolution!
