Aiptasia !!

i can not use peppermint shrimp i have a eel , i can not keep a copperband for more then 2-3 days ..so i have to kill them by hand ..what have ppl had beter luck with ...joes juice, aiptasia x or something else ????

I also heard about the Berghia Nudi's but they are very poor shipper's for what i been told.

If you have Kalk Laying around don't waste your money on Joe's Juice or Aptasia X all that stuff is just Kalk and a couple drops of water to form a paste like soultion.

I've used Berghia Nudis successuflly and will breed in the tank if there are a lot of Aiptasia to feed on and NO FISH eating the nudis like wrasses etc.

pickling lime powder... it will melt them instantly.. thats what i used on my lr..

just mix a little water with the powder until it is like a thin paste. next get some kind of dropper or syringe to put on the middle of the aiptasia.

I use Mrs.wages pickling lime.

Its all the same pickling lime kalk etc. I usually use a tsp of Kalk the add a couple drops of water and stir it to the consistency of like a milk shake. Make sure it is mixed well or you wont be able to draw it with your syringe. Then pick them off one by one injecting them like little heroine addicts. Be careful not to do to many kalk will make your PH jump if you dose to much and may cause some issues. I have effectively hit about 20 of them in one pass with this method with out adversly affecting PH. Good luck!

Those have got to be every reefers nightmare to battle. Amazing how they keep coming back.
I can't add anything except maybe try Acroholic's treatment with the lye. Thats my next plan to see if I can get rid of mine.

kalkwasser, pickling lime= calcium hydroxide, I mix it with lemon juice, works great.
