Aiptasia?

Is this aiptasia? I removed 1 small bit I knew was aiptasia from my sump tank, but this has been around for a while.

Looks like it is. Is the rock its on able to be removed? Best bet is to remove the rock, scrape it off, and either epoxy or superglue over where it was so it cannot regenerate.

It’s holding up another rock, I may be able to remove and clean that rock off if I get the one that’s resting on it off. As I said, it’s been there for a while now, have you heard any cases where having one doesn’t lead to more growing?

I personally have not. I was always led to understand where there is one, there is more. Just got to find them lol.

I found one on a small rock in my tank. Pulled the rock and threw it as far away from the house as possible.

Good idea; they'll have trouble figuring out how to walk back, ha ha.

Removed the rock, giving it a freshwater soak to hopefully kill the aiptasia. Any tips on getting it out entirely? Should I even try to use this rock again? This rock may be passed on to another tank and reused later, would it still have aiptasia growing in it even if i let it dry out completely? What’s the ruling with bleach?

When I removed the rock, I noticed some small tubelike structures. Anyone know what they are? i’ve attached a few of the best pics i could get of them.

Looks like vermited snails. Try to break them off or chip them off the rock getting their base off as well. Not as bad as Aptasia imo but can spread and they can annoy your corals.
