Aiptasia?!?!

is this aiptasia? I have had it bad but got rid of it with a peppermint shrimp and haven’t seen any in probably 8 months. Could it come back after that long. Only thing I have added since was a CUC.

Looks like it to me. Perhaps your shrimp has kept it in check for 8 months. Have you seen her lately? I know I have 3 or 4 P shrimp but I never see them.

I got rid of the shrimp about 4-5 months ago because it was eating some of my coral.

I haven't had good luck with peppermint shrimp or much else for that matter. I'd pull the rock and deal with it out of the tank myself. If possible that is.
I can pull the rock. How should I remove the aiptasia outside of the tank? Aiptasia X?
 
However you decide to do it remember any little piece left, will turn into a new one. I have never done any out of tank treatments except soaking the rock in bleach.
