If ever there was a good place for Aiptasia, that would be in a sump or refugium. They do an awesome job with helping to keep water quality stable. HOWEVER, if they were allowed to get into the main tank, it would spell disaster. Kind of like a sequence out of the movie “Aliens” by Ridley Scott!

I have a 2 inch aiptasia eating filefish that cleaned my 180 of about 40 thousand aiptasia in about 2-4 weeks. Have a bunch in my overflows but havent seen any in display for over a year. Amazing, hes actually my favorite fish so weird looking.
