Thanks in advance for the help!

AiptasiaX works pretty well for me. Couple YouTube vids discuss how best to use it. Kalkwasser works as well. Many other treatments discussed re: R2R search

There are many known ways to deal with aiptasia
  1. Using Aiptasia-X
https://www.redseafish.com/reef-care-program/aiptasia-x/
Just buy some of these and inject it into the aiptasia

Warning: although there is a chance the chemical won’t work. This is 100% normal just as BRS said the aiptasia might get stress and reproduce even more so BRS developed another way

  1. Using Aiptasia-X with epoxy
This time you’re also injecting it but using epoxy immediately to cover up the aiptasia after you’ve injected the Aiptasia-X this’ll prevent the aiptasia from reproducing while the chemical kills it

EXTRA: Instead of Aiptasia-X, others will work
-lemon juice
-hydrogen peroxide
-kalkwasser
But don't do these most of these have a downside but if you must use a syringe… like contaminants and pH swings

  1. Fish that’ll eat aiptasia (with warnings)
  • Peppermint shrimp
  • Certain species of filefish that is MOSTLY reef safe but eats aiptasia (might nip corals but it;ll be fine most of the time) Try the Acreichthys tomentosus
  • Copperband butterflyfish (just in general hard to keep due to its sensitivity to parameters and water quality make sure you’re up to the task of maintaining pristine water)
  • Berghia Nudibranchs they won't harm other fish or corals
  • Hermit crabs. Some hermits do eat aiptasia
P.S. peppermint shrimp need lower light levels and less flow so turn ‘em down
To get most to eat aiptasia try starving them a little

ye but aiptasia-X SOMETIMES need to work with epoxy because it might stress the aiptasia more and make them reproduce and kalkwasser if used too much will raise pH a lot
the best chemical injection way is aiptasia-X its the best

another thing to know:
to avoid aiptasia in the future remember to buy cleaner corals (what i mean is when you buy corals actually check if there is baby aiptasia (even 1) on the corals bases or even if there is one in the tank don't buy corals from the tank...
ye if ur buying frags check the frag plug or better yet replace the plug
or u could just quarantine the corals or u could buy from a more sterile location
the aiptasia came from the corals and rock as a hitchiker

I don't think a few ml of kalk will affect ph

I checked it but not thorough enough. I live in a small town and bought this from the only pet store we have. In the future I am only going to send for the things I put in my tank. I appreciate your input!! Thank you!![/QUOTE]

Don't feel bad; bet no one on R2R hasn't had aiptasia. The spores released when the organism is stressed are measured in microns and you wont see them, just make sure you don't buy a coral with a mature aiptasia attached.

Btw, I've also had good luck with a couple of species of aiptasia eating filefish altho you roll the dice with them being reef safe or not. Still, interesting fish in their own right.

Good luck

filefish work great but some might nip corals that the main problem
but the easiest way is probably peppermint shrimp ye u also need to take precautions when u buy corals for aiptasia management and quarantine if necessary or buy from a more sterile location that quarantine themselves and as for kalk wasser if u have like 3 aiptasia it's fine but if ur tank is over in on everu rock and nook and cranny all over then well the kalk wasser method isn't the best plus if ur pH is already high like 8.5 then using tons of kalk would increase it more it'll only work if there isn't many aiptasia like here but aiptasia x is still the best chemical way cuz it has no downsides that come with it and works perfectly
