Is this the dreaded Aiptasia? My tank is in a reboot stage while I get a handle on vermetid snails so it will be easy to take the rock out. Once I have the rock out what is the best way to fully kill it and not spread it? Will dripping vinegar on it do the trick?

Hi, can you post another photo please ? Different angle ? I look like aiptasia, but can't confirm 100%.
The second one is ball anemone (strawberry anemone - mushroom), or it look like :)

Due too the location of the rock to the glass it’s hard to get any other angle. This is the best I could do of a different angle but the light wasn’t good.

Appears to be. If only 1 not an issue to get rid of. Can inject with kalk slurry or vinegar. If you have many, peppermint shrimp will eat them as will copperbands.

This is aiptasia. Your looks like an aiptasia but something looks a little off. Try to get better pics/lighting. Or just compare to my pic and tell us what you think

After moving some rocks I got a better picture. Also during the night I was able to find at least 5-7 more. They seem to be located in the dark/shaded areas of the rocks their on.

Aiptasia 100%
Have probably 7 different Aiptasia SP in a tank, and this is one of them ;)

Honestly, the stripes make me think anemone? I may just be crazy though

Yes Anemone, but one of the bad anemones
