Aiptasia?

Just got a new hammer frag and there is something suspicious attached at the base. Is this aiptasia? Advice for getting rid of it? Do I need to worry about the other frags I got at the same time, if I don't see any visible hitchhikers?

Yep, scrape it off outside of tank.

Yup... is it on the plug or the coral? If it's on the plug you can just pop the frag off and mount to a new plug.

I think it's on the actual coral, but it's a long base with only one live hammer head on top. Looks like another head was already cut off, as you can see. Do you think I could cut the base somewhere above the aiptasia (re-frag it, so to speak), or could that harm the hammer?

Remove coral, scrape, rinse in FSW, return to tank.
