It’s not the end of the world like everything else their numbers can increase and decrease I used aptasia x in the beginning then I added a peppermint shrimp it seemed to eliminate the aptasia in the tank but a few more showed up I then eliminated them with aptasia x after that I have not had any aptasia in the tank although I have a few in the filters my peppermint shrimp does well so maybe it is doing its job.

Using syringe, inject either lemon juice or better yet. . . kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a paste the consistency of toothpaste and inject into the very center core and it will melt away

Eradicate them when u can. Dip ur corals. If they do get in like with my system aiptasia x worked a bit. But then the pop exploded. Feeding the tank etc. went the berghia nudibranch route shout out to Jeff at reef town they eliminated them all over a few month time. Not the fastest but surely thorough.

Scrubbed it off the shell and ran under hot water. Will observe for a few days. Hopefully it was a single straggler.

Can someone please let me know if this is aiptasia and if I should get rid of it?
Thank you in advance.

That's a zoanthid possibly a palythoa. I don't like palythoa because they are usually uglier than zoas and also much more dangerous. Personally I would remove because palythoa are dangerous to remove if the time comes.

If those are the toxic species. (Can be hard to tell). @Radams1969 - Read up on Zoanthid toxicity and maybe treat these like they are unless you can positively identify them as not being toxic. Start here maybe.

I have some but I think they are palythoa not zoanthids here is a photo of the ones in my system and I do not believe that they are zoanthids I believe they are palythoa they do well and like some food.

I have had some small amounts of water in my mouth during water changes and have never had any ill effects although I would not remove them from the system without wearing gloves and a mask. They may not be that colorful but I think they are pretty cool and my sexy shrimp loves them.
