Apologies for the bad video. I'm holding a plastic loupe to my phone. I'm thinking this is aiptasia and I should just throw away the whole frag. Advice?

I don't know where to look but I didn't see any aiptasia. Me personally aiptasia isn't something I would throw away a frag for, just get some peppermint shrimp or aiptasia-x.

Here's a pic. It's lot harder to see. Th base of the thing is between the rock and the frag plug, below the big zoa polyp. It has long spindly arms.

Is this the thing, can’t really see cause of the blue light.

I see threads from a spaghetti worm moving around. I don't see an aiptasia in the video. That doesn't mean there isn't one there.
A stalk with a disk on the end with arms radiating from it. They always look like this.
Turn on your sink hat water asn let it get as hot as it can and them turn is down to a trickle and let it hit the spot to 30 seconds. Scrub it with a toothbrush and repeat once.

I used DipX. Squirting with a syringe, etc.
Im pretty sure most dips don’t kill aiptasia (don’t quote me there I’m not 100% sure) I would just take the frag out of the tank and remove the whatever it is from the frag. And then use hot water cause from what I have read it kills aiptasia. EDIT - don’t use hot water over the whole frag just get like a small drop over the spot like the person above stated.

I can't tell from your picture. With aiptasia this is about as long as the arms/tentacles get compared to the overall size. This is a small one. Do you think this is it?

Dip and scrub and if in doubt glue over the spot.

And I find F Aptasia is way better - more consistent that X aptasia

Doesn't look like exactly like that. The thing I'm seeing has much thinner arms, and I can't even see a stalk.

Thanks for all the advice. My game plan is to remove the rock from the frag plug, scrape and do some spot killing with hot water, glue on a clean plug and monitor.
