Has anyone ever seen this? It looks like air bubbles or something inside the tips of some of the tentacles of my encrusting pavona.

I did a water check and the only thing off is the ammonia is at .5 (usually 0). I haven’t found what died (all my fish are here. Maybe a snail?) but I will be doing a water change tonight.

I don't have experience with pavona specifically, but I've had several other "non-bubble" corals form bubble tips for a while. They often come and go without any rhyme nor reason that I've been able to determine... Let's see if others ( #reefsquad ) can add anything beyond my unhelpful "it happens" reply... ;-)

The 0.5 ammonia could also be due to over-feeding. If you don't find a dead thing (hopefully), you might want to try reducing your feeding a bit to see if that helps drop it down.
