Hello, I have just gotten into this hobby and i have loved it. My tank has been going for a month and a half now. I bought my first clown fish about a week and a half ago and he seemed to be just fine. This morning i woke up and looked at him, he seemed to have a ton of tiny little air bubbles all over him. I freaked out and I literally then went to the bathroom and came back, turned all the lights in my room on and there seems to be like no more bubbles (or ich). It was extremely noticeable right off the bat and then when i came back i have to stare at him for a long time and can't seem to see any bubbles (or ich now). I would post a picture but he looks pretty much fine now. Is this a normal occurrence?

My parameters are
1.026 salinity
0 ammonia
0 nitrites
0 nitrates

I have been adding garlic to his food ever since i got him.

I dont really have the means or time for a QT tank and since it is just a 5 gallon and only has him in it i thought i would be just fine. (i know thats what they all say).

My biggest worry is that i just bought some corals from the WWC live sale and i dont want to put them in there if i will have to treat the tank.

Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks

Let me add that he still is eating fine. He actually ate pellets for the first time today.

It’s probably just micro bubbles. Do you have them in your DT? Just keep an eye out for any weird behavior or if he stops eating.

Hopefully it is just air bubbles but keep an eye on it. Biggest concern would be Brooklynella.

Hey guys thank you so much for your responses. Yeah i noticed there sims to be little air bubbles floating all around in my tank too and he looks completely back to normal :) That was a huge scare but thanks for all your responses. I will keep you posted

Well same exact thing this morning. I turned on the lights and saw a whole bunch of the “micro bubbles” on my clown. After a few minutes they were gone. He is normal in every other way and still eating like a pig. I assume this is still ok?
