Greetings fellow reefers,

I have my tank setup for about ~8 weeks. I am currently experiencing some red cyano bacteria. However, my concern is from the out-of-control air bubbles raising from my live rocks. I don't have any sand in my tank so the bubbles came from the rocks.

I need some guidance to resolve the air bubble issues.

Thank you,

Those bubbles are most likely nitrogen bubbles. It's a very good thing. The rock is converting nitrate into nitrogen.

I am seeing more bubbles, peak out when the lights are on. I am also noticing more red strings algea on zoas and bottom of the tank, thinking that i may have Red Slime or red cyano.
