Hi guys, how would I know what kind of air pump should I get for my skimmer. I have a sc acuariums 301 skimmer.
How big should the air pump be?
My tank is about 65g with a 20g sump.

Thank you

I am a little confused... you say 'air pump'... do you actually mean water pump?

Agreed - your skimmer doesn't need an "air pump" specifically; the water pump draws air in as a venturi. Does your pump have a thin tube coming out of it (it should end above the water line)? That's separate from the main water intake which is simply on the side of the pump (and the output which also comes directly out of the pump)

Omg guys I'm so sorry, my old skimmer had a water pump as well as an air pump.
This is the first skimmer I buy lol
Thank you that saves me some bucks
