Air pump in my tank?

Hey guys! I was wondering if I should have an air pump in my tank. I currently have a 10g quarantine tank, but the air pump is causing a lot of salt creep. Should I put another air pump in my 40 breeder? Is it beneficial? Thanks!

Usually a hob filter and/or wavemakers are better. I use a hob filter for my QT tank, and wavemakers in the display (as well as return pump from sump)

Really depends what you are keeping and your personal taste. Airpump is never a bad thing to help with gentle water movement. But if you are keeping corals and certain inverts that require stronger water movement then you may wanna invest in wavemaker
