Airline check valves used with liquid???

Anyone know if liquid can be used with airline check valves? I hooked up my Bubble Magus dosing station and I see that the lines are back siphoning a bit and drawing in a bit of air which will ultimately lead to incorrect dosing amounts.

I do not have airline tubing hooked to it as of right now and I think that is part of the problem. This will be fixed soon as I need to get the proper airline tubing to be used.

I am thinking of putting airline check valves/non return valves inline just to be safe but not sure if you can use them with liquid???

you should be good to go. I have used these with Aqualifter pumps for years.

HMMM... I'm not sure about that.. you could just try it and see.. but it's going to restrict your pump too.. I don't know if that's good on perstaltic pumps or not..

I switched the intake lines to air tubing and they seem to be good now. I did try and old non return valve on one to see what happens. Thanks for the insight guys.

I dont think you need one honestly. How long are the lines? You might get more air at first but it should push it all out in a few days.

Intake is maybe 18" tops and the output is 24" tops. It does pull the solution from the floor up to the pumps.

I think the 1/4" water tube just wasn't sealing even with plumbers tape and a zip tie.

It seems to be fine now.
