Airline freezing up. Skimmer intake

A few months ago I decided to bite the bullet and drill a hole and pull air directly from outside into my skimmer. I live in Michigan and today is at about -6 Fahrenheit and I noticed my skimmer was overflowing. The airline after it comes to the wall has about a half inch of ice on it... I don't want to go back to pulling air from the inside of the room and having to use a CO2 scrubber. Try to just insulate the line?

Yep. Some foam tubing or even a small freezer evaporator condensation drain line heater strip wrapped around the line in that area could work.
