aKlevans' 40 Gallon Breeder Sumpless Reef Tank - Build Thread

Im diggin the tank wish my 40b would look half as good. Do you still have the yellow goby and pistol shrimp in there as well? How does the diamond goby get along with it?

Thanks! I actually decided against the ywg, just because of the fact that my sandbed was looking TERRIBLE and I knew the diamond goby would make quick work of it. I feel bad about not being able to see the watchman/goby pair, but the diamond goby is nice too:)

I was in the same predicament this past friday ended up choosing the ywg because i have a lone pistol shrimp and wanted them to pair up. Ill have to figure something else for the sandbed

New fish!

You may have mentioned it somewhere in the beginning of your thread, but what are you getting for flow from your powerheads? I had set my tank up hoping one would be enough and its and 850 but i have a cyano that builds up along the sand bed and i think it is from lack of flow. I have another power head on the way hopefully to remedy that but just curious what you are using.

Looking good!

I have a Korallia nano 425 and one Korallia nano 565.
Looking good!
Thanks rev!

Sorry to hear about the cardinal. Banggais can be difficult together as adults. I've seen them offered at a LFS as a "bonded pair", when one of the "pair" was in absolute tatters.

Photos show the rest of your tank is lookin' _good_!

Looking a lot like my 40 breeder with your fish and coral selection. Have you had to start dosing calcium and alkalinity yet, or are water changes handling the demand?
