Just added sand to my 6 month old tank. Was curious if someone could identify this algae. Brown stringy bits on rocks and sand, Dino’s? Diatoms? Thanks In advance.

Probably diatoms if you just added sand. No way to tell from pics IMO. I personally would wait and see if it goes away or gets much worse. If it gets much worse you might want to get it under a microscope to ID.
 
Looks identical to how my problem started.
Diagnosed as diatoms initially, then shifted to dinos once I made a poor decision of adding a silicate/phos remover.

Pictures under whites would help any snotty strings with air bubbles?

Didn’t know that was possible, but I guess I’ll remove my phosguard for now
 
Nope neither did I, and I might add that others on here with far more knowledge may totally disagree, however after extensive reading, the dip in phosphates can possibly allow dinos to take hold
