I have a apex jr, a socket expansion, and a px1000. I am not sure the px1000 is all there, therefore the low price. I believe all are brand new, never used, still have original packaging.

Does apex jr. come with ph and temp probe and are they good?

Jr comes with temp probe. As far as I know it is good, never been used. It doesn't have the ph probe port, adding the px1000 allows the ph port to be added to this unit.

Yes the socket expansion is controlled by one of the apex plugs. There are two cords to the expansion. One plugs into the apex, the other into a wall outlet. The wall outlet gives the expansion its power, the outlet from the apex controls whether it is turned on or off.

If I was to use it, I would use it for a double heater type deal. The apex plug would control whether the power was there if needed by temp, while the actual power to the plugs is controlled by the wall outlet.
