The skimmer has been amazing so far. After it's short break-in period, I no longer have any microbubbles and I don't hear it running at all. I almost went with the Ghost skimmer at one point but the reviews make it seems like it hasn't changed much from the original IM Skimmate.
Thanks for the tip on the lights, I'm greatly considering two of the new Ecotech XR15W lights.
