I, like this tank, am fairly new and I have a question on algae control. My tank has cycled already and there are a few frags and 2 clowns in there. A few weeks ago I had the usual diatom bloom as you would with a new tank. So I left it for a few days. Then I I went into my LFS and purchased a small CUC, tank is only 40 gal, which consisted of 2 nassarius snails, 4 margarita snails, and 3 Cortez hermits. They controlled some of the algae for a bit but it’s still going as you can see. I want to leave the sand and approach this as natural as possible (as little sand syphoning as possible). So any recommendations on fish or not CUC will be greatly appreciated.

Lights are only on 6 out of 10 power and on from 5:00-11:30

5pm-11:30pm or is am or 5am-11:30pm. Regardless your tank will prolly get worse before it gets better
