Algae and anemone

I need help with my anemone. This is my first anemone I’ve ever kept I placed it in a 7 mouth old tank. Trying to keep it happy I was over feeding. So to no surprise I hade a major algae break and high nitrates.... it’s been two days and the anemone has been closed.... any advice would help!

Just keep the water clean and feed it once a week or so a little bit of mysis or pellets or whatever you feed your fish. Proper flow and lighting is also important for these long tentical anemones. I wouldn't be suprised if it is a little closed up at first so it is nothing to worry about. They are my favorite anemone!

How long have you had the anemone? they generally like to plant their foot in the sand or in a rock crevice on the sand
