Algae and managing nutrients

Will they find their way onto a rack or stay on sand/rock?
My pencil cushion bothers nothing - Now pin cushion or tuxedo is a whole different story

Take a step back for a moment, what's wrong with algae though?

A little bit of algae is not only natural, but also offers some competition against more problematic stuff such as cyano and dino.

Stock up the aquarium with more corals to compete with algae; introduce more herbivores like many have suggested and don't worry too much about it.

Agreed. A lot of people get caught up on a totally algae free tank. A bit of algae is fine, the key is to keep it under control with natural predation and nutrient exchange.
