Hi all, fairly new to this world and need some advice.

I have a fairly large tank (240 G) and want to start thinking about how I can remove some of the pain of cleaning algae of the glass. Should I fit a UV steriliser and if so what size and which one? Ideally I'd like to fit in cabinet if possible.

Is this a fish only tank or full reef?
I would shy away from using UV sterilization on a reef because of all the beneficial bacteria and other living organisms that would be killed.

Mixture of both

Check out the video linked below. I run a 25 watt UV on a 50 gallon tank and it was the best purchase I made.

Love my UV. I run 25W on a 100 gallon system. More clear water and less cleaning the glass.

uv helps big time. I run one on a reef not really for water clarity but for kill fish parisites (60 gph)
I'm not too concerned about killing pods or bacteria, that thrives on its own

Thanks all, I have an 85W one here on Tuesday. I'll update when in
