I have a question about my algae bloom in my tank. I have three anthias in my tank that I am feeding cyclops 3 times a day and I am worried this overfeeding is leading to the algae bloom. Is there a way to split the frozen cyclops cubes to limit some of the food?
How do I find the happy medium to limit the bloom? I change my filter floss every week, carbon twice a month, 5 gallons of water a week and gfo in sump. I attached the image of the tank before the bloom. I will add one tonight when I get home.
My parameters are great, no nitrate spikes. I have a 40 breeder with 15 gal sump.
Livestock:
2 oscellaris clowns
3 lyretail anthias
1 sixline wrasse
3 blue green chromis
1 yellow eye kole tang
1 skunk cleaner shrimp
1 emerald crab
8 snails (nassarius and trochus)
15 blue leg crabs
5 assorted lps coral frags
