Algae blooms

What fish eats Algae? I have a biocube 29g with a CBS and a yellow-tail damsel.

What is your CUC like? how long has tank been up?

It's been going for 6 months. It is green algae

In a 29 g tank all tangs are really out if the question. You can try an algae blennie to eat algae but I found snails to be just as effective as long as the algae isn’t out of control.

I have lots of snails but they only clean the sand bed and glass. It's growing on the rocks.

And i would like the fish be common enough to be at my lfs

What kind of snails do you have. ? Trouhous and turbo are 2 of my favorite and they don’t clean the sand bed the do the glass and rock but they are mostly active at night

Algae blennie is really your only choice for a 29 gallon tank All other fish that eat algae get way to big for a 29 gallon tank
