Turf algae is starting to take over my tank. I’m fairly new to reefing considering this is my first tank. Im getting no nitrate reading so I assume it’s all in the algae. I only have one coral and it’s a small GSP. I would say 80% of my rock has turf on it. What steps would you take to remove/fight this problem? My only filtration at this point is a filter sock.

you will need to manually remove it, a toothbrush during water changes are the best way. Also get a good phosphate test kit and start controlling the phosphates. Once it gets beat down a little, get a strong herbivore clean up crew.
