Ok as long as not dinos I shouldn’t be too worried? What’s the “solution” for these?Chrysophytes
I use a UV and it will help, but not completely destroy.Ok thanks! But I’m trying to avoid the chemical routes if possible (still will if other methods don’t work).
Will a UV sterilizer work for these? How about water changes?

I think UV is a bit overrated, but makes good sense.
It’s pesky that golden stuff, you can suck it up forever, it replicates fast.
Make sure your N and P are stable in the bands.
For me, nothing else worked.
I must have changed all the water over the 2 months I tried the water change thing. Worked for 2-3 days, but always returned.
I don’t like chemicals either, but gave into the speedy resolve.
It looks like dinos.Hi guys, I got some additional photos. Before I do anything, just wanted to confirm these are Chrysophytes?
I tried googling and searching the forums on Chrysophytes, doesn't really match with my photos?
How do we tell that there are Chrysophytes or not?
My Trochus snails seem to be eating them a little..
I *think* you have the more toxic type. But disclaimer: I don’t know much about dinos. Im very new to it and I’m currently dealing with them myself.
The second photo shows ostreopsis dinos.Hi guys, I got some additional photos. Before I do anything, just wanted to confirm these are Chrysophytes?
