hi all i have a 90 litre tank and in it at the moment i have 2 clownfish a clean up crew and some zoas. i am hoping to buy some hammers and mushrooms/ lps corals again but sadly i had an cyanobacteria random attack. my tank is 4 years old so definitely mature and all my parameters are stable. anyways what i was wondering is what fish you recommend for that size tank that is coral friendly and eats algae? as my main problem is algae growth and even with my scrubbing and water changes and all the snails e.g it grows and i need something to help as my tank is too small for a tang. thank you

ps i need something that will not get bullied by my clownfish or eat my shrimp

What type of cleanup crew you have ? If it was me I would use a siphon hose and suck out much cyno as I can every few days and add 1-2 Mexican turbo snails to eat the algae. In such a small tank not much fish choice

hi yeah i have two massive mexican turbos the cyano is almost gone now i have been syphoning a lot of it and doing water changes a lot but not to much. what i was wanting a fish for is for like more hair algae and the slimy one that comes of in sheets but i assume tangs are the only thing?
would a tail spot blenny help do you think?

Yea a tailspot would be good size wise, but it’s a crap shoot on if they’ll do anything to the algae. Mine occasionally pecks at “bare” rocks and snail shells but rarely touches any of my gha patches. Let down on the algae eating, but he is hilarious. Worth it either way

The issue is blenny are more miss than hit and you will be just adding more bio load to your system from a purpose that will not be getting done.

Yes 2 clowns. They are not overly aggressive though. It’s funny that all my aggressive fish fight each other and the blenny accepted by everyone. Like the nice weird kid at school. Could just be my experience though.

Ocellaris? Not sure that’s spelled right. I’ve had them about 6 months and added the blenny 2 months ago. Other fish are an aggressive Mccoskers wrasse and Royal gramma in 60g cube.

While the blenny doesn’t get much done to the algae, he also gets fed a lot. There’s a correlation with how much pecking he does and how often I feed. I have to feed often to keep my wrasse’s aggression in check, but if you fed more often, the blenny may end up eating more algae out of hunger.
